This field trip was organized by Rachel and Dave Lyman and the Interfaith Explorers. The goal? To learn about the temple, the site, and the Abbot who lives on the property.
Many times, after disasters such as Hurricane Ian strike, we wonder WHY? Why did this happen to us? Why did this happen to me? Is God or the Higher Power punishing me? Am I supposed to learn something from this heartbreak?
On September 24th, 2022, the Interfaith Council of Greater Sacramento had the opportunity to volunteer at Loaves and Fishes in Sacramento. The board members from different faiths came together and served lunch to the unhoused community members of Sacramento.
Some see conflicts between science and religion that really are not there, in my opinion. I see them as 2 facets of reality, one mainly material in nature, one mainly spiritual. But the truth is truth.

Please join the Interfaith Council in this meeting. They will bring together our Bay Area and NorCal cities to create an opportunity to share plans, ideas, and actions.
