When a Hurricane Strike

Many times, after disasters such as Hurricane Ian strike, we wonder WHY? Why did this happen to us?  Why did this happen to me?  Is God or the Higher Power punishing me?  Am I supposed to learn something from this heartbreak?

But one thing about religions is that they are, at the worse times, prepared for disasters. It seems that is the time that the best comes out in people.

Right now, Mennonites, Southern Baptists, Mormons, Catholics, Lutherans, Muslims, Sikhs, and Jews are doing remarkable, lifesaving work together on the Gulf Coast of Florida, and they’re doing it inspired by their faith, and they’re cooperating to help people, to save lives, and to rebuild, regardless of peoples’ religions.
