The Feast of All Saints/Souls
Last week was the feast of All Saints, where Catholics honor all of those who have been canonized and models of faith and have been significant in inspiring the current generation how to use the Beatitudes from Matthew’s Gospel to find joy, peace, and justice.
Tomorrow is the Feast of All Souls, where we honor those of our community who have passed away. During the month of November, some churches read off the names of parishioners who have died in the last year. It is a very big tradition among Latin American Catholics (Day of the Dead).
