From the Desk of Roger Dickinson, 7th District, State Assembly

California is experiencing one of the worst droughts in our state’s history. Almost 99% of California is considered abnormally dry or worse; almost two-thirds of the state is in extreme drought. That’s why the Governor declared a statewide drought emergency and urged all residents to reduce water consumption by 20%. Water is crucial for supporting businesses and the economic interests of our region, protecting the environment, and sustaining healthy communities. It is imperative that we all do our part to conserve water.  From fixing broken sprinklers to taking shorter showers, simple steps can go a long way. Your individual efforts can serve as an example to your friends and neighbors.

If you have questions or concerns about water conservation, please do not hesitate to contact my district office at (916) 324-4676.
