On October 1, the Interfaith Council was able to join the West Sacramento Sikh Gurdwara for a program. There was a gathering of Sacramento area Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, and other faith groups to hear presentations about the persecutions of Christians, Muslims, Sikhs, and other religious minorities in India.
It was sobering to hear about religious people that have been attacked and killed for just being a certain religion.
The Interfaith Council was able to conclude the event with a short talk given by our Secretary, Charles de Watteville.
We are proud to say that in our Mission Statement, we state that we do stand up for religious rights to practice our religion and see it as a basic human right.
