It is with much pleasure that Mosaic Law Congregation introduces their new Rabbi, Ben Herman.
Rabbi Herman grew up in a traditional Jewish family in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Rabbi Herman graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with honors in History, Hebrew, and Jewish studies and received his Rabbinic Ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary.
Rabbi Herman has contagious enthusiasm, a passion for Jewish living, and a joy for meeting new people. His personal mission statement is “Every Person Counts.” Rabbi Herman looks forward to meeting you and experiencing firsthand all the wonderful things that Sacramento offers.
Rabbi Herman has huge shoes to fill, taking over at Mosaic Law Synagogue after the retirement of beloved Rabbi Reuven Taff. However, he has taken off at full speed ahead. His dedication to outreach is a perfect fit for the diverse Sacramento Community.
Rabbi Herman’s other activities include running, biking, hiking, reading historical fiction (and the latest John Grisham novel), going to farmers’ markets, theatrical performances, and sporting events with his lovely wife, Karina, and their two children.
We are delighted to have Rabbi Herman in Sacramento and look forward to seeing him at our interfaith events.
