Volunteering for ICGS
The Interfaith Council of Greater Sacramento (ICGS) is an all-volunteer organization.
Our mission is to promote respect for all faiths, to encourage better understanding, greater acceptance and cooperation of all faiths and their people.
To accomplish that, we sponsor, promote, and coordinate programs that encourage faiths to work together to promote spiritual values, religious tolerance, and protect religious freedom as a basic human right for all.
Purpose: communication & increase awareness of ICGS
· Oversee/develop our website
· Oversee/develop newsletter content and design
· Oversee/develop our presence on social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)

Program and events committee
Purpose: successful activities/event promoting ICGS mission
· Suggest, develop, support, and coordinate ICGS interfaith events and activities
· Support other religious programs and events

Finance/Budget Committee
Purpose: ensure financial security of ICGS
· Assist the treasurer to establish and monitor budget and expenses.
· Oversee audit of the books per bylaws.
· Assist with raising funds, events, applying for grants and scholarships etc.

Membership/Outreach Committee
Purpose: care for and expansion of membership
· Communicate with faith groups and city, county, and civic group leaders.
· Oversee outreach and membership drives
· Communicate and invite prospective members to join.
